Position Title:Lead Mover (Manager)

*experience in moving companies is required, who is capable of directing, managing, and coordinating each task with responsibility and commitment.

Compensation:

• Tips (100% paid to employees)
• Paid Weekly
• Salary $52,000 a Year
• Holiday Pay: 10 paid federal holidays annually

Operating Hours:Monday- Saturday 7am- Start * end of time is different each day. (Thursday-Saturdays are later days)

Work Locations:Austin and surrounding areas, but we travel throughout Texas for moves. (See service area on website; atxfirefightermoving.com)

We are looking for a professional mover to join our team as a Lead Mover(manager). This role requires you to meet your team every morning and help to make sure they know the job details for the day and to make sure they have all the tools and materials to complete each job. Maintain an inventory of moving equipment, manage, and train staff, complete onsite estimates and take payments from clients as needed. filling in on the job if someone no shows. Always floating around to the jobs and checking in and giving support. We have learned that this leadership is great for the movers and for clients to see.

Responsibilities:

• Take payments from clients as needed.
• Securing cargo using rope, ratchet straps, & blankets.
• Manage and train workers on the job.
• Furniture Assembly and Disassembly
• Customer Service – Communicate with customers about moving jobs.
• Packing (Residential and Commercial)
• Following our safety standards
• Moving boxes, furniture, etc. This will require lifting, carrying, climbing, and descending stairs, using hand trucks, etc.
• Carrying and maintaining a full complement of moving equipment
• Coordinate with a team to complete jobs at multiple locations.

Manager Requirements:

• 1 year experience in a supervisory role
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong leadership qualities.
• Preferred Skills and Experience:
• Time Management
• First Aid training
• Friendly and Professional Customer Service
• 1 year of moving or general labor experience is preferred.
• Clean driving record
• Ability to Work as a Team
• Must be 21 or older.
• Attention to Detail
• View truck miles once a week and track.
• Understanding and/or training of OSHA safety standards
• Computer literate.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Stock necessary material and tools
• Organization (Keeping track of tools and supplies)
• Must be able to regularly work outside in inclement weather.
• Excellent Spatial Awareness
• Must wear company provided uniform.
• Proactive nature.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized.
• Must be dependable & punctual.
• Strong Communication
• Ability to Work Independently
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 125 lbs repeatedly over varying surfaces.
• Report millage/gas usage report.
• Ability to develop creative solutions when confronted by unique problems
• Strong work ethic.
• Understand state and federal workers rights.
• Complete truck safety report and verify new codes with the fleet.
• Able to Solve day to day problems.
