The Medical Assistant (MA) IV works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. A MA IV is capable of performing all aspects of the MA I and MA II and MA III roles. Additionally, the MA IV serves in a leader role or is highly skilled and trained in multiple complex specialty areas and oversees ambassadors, change agents, quality champions, and preceptors within the clinic.

Join our team at Providence Saint John's Medical Foundation where you’ll support nurses both in and out of surgery, among other patient care tasks. As a Providence caregiver, you’ll apply your specialized training to deliver world-class health with human connection and make a difference every day through your extraordinary care.

Required qualifications:

• 6 months of working experience in a PSJH clinic within the last 3 years, OR 18 months experience in a Lead MA role in a clinical setting in lieu of.
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• 3 years of experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast paced environment, including handling confidential data with discretion.
• 3 years of Medical assisting experience in a clinic setting.

Preferred qualifications:

• Coursework/Training and Graduate of accredited school for medical assistants or an equivalent combination of coursework, experience/training to qualify to sit for the CA State or National Certification exam.
• Upon hire: National Medical Assistant Certification
• Bachelor's Degree
