- Minimum of one (1) year experience in health care or food service setting required.
- Proficient knife and equipment skills required. Possess knowledge of patient diets preferred.
- ServSafe certification or food handler’s certification preferred and must successfully obtain within six (6) months of hire.
- Communicates needs for procurement and maintains inventory of food and supplies.
- Exhibits an excellent knowledge of patient diets and ensures compliance.
- Accurately and efficiently follows recipes and production sheets.
- Follows HACCP guidelines and sets example for other staff.
- Accurately and efficiently completes daily cleaning assignments.
- Assists in interviewing job candidates.
- Adheres to state and regulatory standards as it relates to position.
- Lead may be expected to perform one (1) or more of the following tasks regularly:
- Leads or coordinates compliance and quality efforts.
- Trains or coordinates the training of assigned staff.
- Other duties as assigned at the discretion of management, excluding issuing corrective actions or administering performance evaluations.
- Efficiently works assigned production positions and stations.
- Oversees and coordinates successful completion of employees’ competency assessments and required training.
- Meets meal deadlines reflecting high quality levels.
- Exhibits excellent practice of sanitation skills.
- Acts as point-of-contact/subject matter expert for employee questions about expectations and processes.
- Creates work schedule and assigns employees to specific work tasks.
- Consistently produces multiple menu items concurrently in a safe and sanitary way.
