Laundry Worker 3 (LW3) Permanent
Clallam Bay Corrections Center (CBCC)
Full Time – Permanent

The Department of Corrections is seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual for the Laundry Worker 3 position at Clallam Bay Corrections Center.

Clallam Bay Corrections Center is a 900 bed male facility located on the point of the Olympic Peninsula. It is 50 miles west of Port Angeles and looks out over the Strait of Juan de Fuca at Vancouver Island. This facility houses medium and close custody incarcerated individuals. CBCC also operates a Restricted Housing Unit.
Whether the work is inside a prison, in community corrections, or in an administrative office, the Washington State Department of Corrections professional staff experience a high degree of personal satisfaction knowing they are creating environments in which all incarcerated individuals can learn to make choices that contribute to a safer society.

Duties

Maintain an adequate stock of incarcerated individuals (I/I) clothing and bedding.

  • Order I/I supplies
  • Track I/I supply inventories
Supervise, train, and oversee incarcerated individual workers in all clothing and bedding processes; to include the issuing of clothing and bedding for new arrivals.
  • Supervise and train I/I workers in stocking, issuing, record keeping, and maintaining I/I clothing.
  • Oversee the washing of I/I personal clothing as required, to include training I/I on laundry equipment.
  • Ensure I/I are following the appropriate processes and procedures in the issuing and exchanging of clothing and bedding.
  • Provide a security presence for the clothing issuing areas.
Complete administrative duties, to include supervisory duties.
  • Prepare evaluations for I/I workers.
  • Schedule I/I for clothing exchange, ensuring they are placed on the daily callout.
  • Hire I/I workers.
  • Process I/I hours and submit for offender pay.
