FutureCAre Capital Region is hiring Laundry Aide to join the team ! At FutureCare, our Laundry Aides work in an efficient manner to meet facility needs, deliver outstanding service and performance in our laundry departmemt. They are responsible for ensuring that the linens in the facility are kept clean and sanitized, while meeting all standards set forth for the Environmental Services department.

• Keep equipment and work areas clean
• Adjust water temperature valves to maintain required temperatures
• A minimum of one (1) year housekeeping experience in a long- term care setting preferred
• Identify and report garments or linens in ill repair to supervisor
• Handle clean and soiled laundry appropriately
• Abides by the standards identified in FutureCare’s Statement of Corporate Ethics and the Corporate Compliance Plan
• Follow proper cleaning and infection control procedures to ensure sanitary conditions
• Strenous pulling while unloading wshers, dryers, repetitive motions
• Sort laundry and linens and ensure they are washed in the proper cycle
• May be required to wear a safety belt
• Ability to read, write and follow oral written instructions
• Follow material safety data sheets (MSDS)
• Collect soiled laundry
• Must be able to push, pull or lift a minimum of 25 pounds and a maxium of 50 pounds with assistance, such as carts, laundry bags, and linens
• Distribute neat, clean laundry and personal resident clothing
• High School education or GED
• Follow oral and written instructions
• Must have general knowledge of laundry systems critical to safety and welfare
• Follow schedule for laundry department
