Housekeeping/Laundry Supervisor Jobs

At FutureCare our Housekeeping/Laundry Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the Housekeeping and Laundry Departments to ensure the environment of care within the facility is maintained in accordance with sanitation policies and regulations.

• Ability to operate and maintain commercial laundry equipment
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Manage staffing teams on a daily basis
• Train, evaluate, schedule and discipline housekeeping/laundry staff as needed
• Ability to prioritize task and manage time efficiently
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Strong leadership and team management abilities
• Maintain accurate housekeeping /laundry records and logs as well as prepare required reports
• Maintain an adequate supply of linen and equipment, housekeeping supplies, and cleaning solutions to efficiently operate within budget
• At least 2 years of experience in housekeeping/laundry management
• Abides by the standards identified in FutureCare’s Statement of Corporate Ethics and the Corporate Compliance Plan
• Must have a clear understanding of safety and sanitation regulations
• Supervise proper care and use of housekeeping and laundry equipment
• Make rounds throughout the facility to examine cleanliness, safety and working condition of resident rooms, hallways, and common areas
• Must have excellent communication skills
• Oversee large cleaning projects as required
