Laundry Aide Jobs

$2,000 sign-on bonus!

Available shifts:

Shifts include 1 in 3 weekends and 2-3 holidays per year

• 40 hours/week | 7:00am-3:30pm

Duties:

• Wear PPE (personal protective equipment); including aprons, gloves, masks, etc.
• Transport soiled linen using large carts to laundry chutes and transfer into chute
• Provide laundry services for Missouri Slope, including resident clothing, facility linens, and supplies
• Sort and deliver personal clothing items to resident rooms
• Transfer torn articles to the mending room
• Responsible to collect soiled laundry, sort and wash laundry according to procedure
  • Transport soiled linen using large carts to laundry chutes and transfer into chute

  • Hand washing after handling soiled laundry and before handling clean laundry
  • Disinfection of washers after each load is placed in washer
  • Weighing linens to prevent washer overload
  • Sort and deliver personal clothing items to resident rooms
• Hand washing after handling soiled laundry and before handling clean laundry
• Responsible to dry, fold, and iron clothing such as sheets, pillow cases, and resident personal clothing
• Weighing linens to prevent washer overload
• Disinfection of washers after each load is placed in washer

Qualifications:

• Experience in providing laundry services within a nursing facility preferred
• Must be 18 years or older
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English sufficiently to read labels and names, follow procedures, and communicate with co-workers and residents
