WHAT YOU’LL DO

As an Arboreta Laundry Aid, essential duties and responsibilities include:

• Report equipment problems to the Supervisor.
• Prepare special linen packets and monitor linen on the floor for quality.

• WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR(Laundry Aid) Qualifications including minimum skills, experience and education required include:
• Health and wellness plans

• Report any problems to the supervisor.
• Assist or prepare laundry personnel schedules.
• Paid time off accrues when you start work
• Sort, clean, wash, dry and fold linen according to proper facility procedures.
• Interface with other facility departments personnel regarding linen delivery services and report to Supervisor.
• Sort and separate old worn linen, complete monthly linen inventories and notifies Supervisor of replacement linen needs.
• Must be able to relate positively and favorably to residents and families and to working cooperatively with other employees.
• Medical, vision and dental insurance
• Related experience at a level necessary to accomplish the job.

• Must have the ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish the job.
• Follow all sanitation and infection control procedures.
• Previous experience working in a long-term care facility, preferably in environmental services or a laundry department
• Prepare linen carts with appropriate amounts of linen for nursing personnel.
