What You Will Do:


  • Set up, operate, or tend variety of laser metal working machines (including laser CNC / Numerically Controlled Equipment) to cut, shear, slit, or punch metal material in accordance to standards and requirements.
  • Measure completed workpieces to verify conformance to specifications, using micrometers, gauges, calipers, templates, or rulers.
  • Test and adjust machine speeds or actions, according to product specifications, using gauges, hand tools or machine controls.
  • Read work orders, blueprints, production documents or other information to determine specifications, such as materials to be used, locations of cutting lines, or dimensions and tolerances. Then load workpieces, material, or solutions into machines.
  • Install, align, set and lock specified fabrication components and fixtures in turrets and in rams or beds of machines, using gauges, templates, feelers, shims, and hand tools.
  • Position, align, and secure workpieces against fixtures or stops on machine beds or on dies on order to produce parts meeting requirements.


What You Will Bring:


  • Previous laser or similar fabrication or machining work experience is required that demonstrates operation of metal working machines (including lasers, CNC / Numerically Controlled Equipment, etc.) to cut, shear, slit, or punch metal material.
  • Able read and interpret work instructions, blue prints, manufacturing drawings or similar information.
  • At least 2 years of work-related experience, (working in a manufacturing / production work environment, or machine shop).
