In addition, our new space will allow us to expand our offerings as a community partner to help improve the health status of Prince George’s County residents.

Part-time - Evening Shift

Located in Largo in the heart of Prince George’s County, our new state-of-the-art regional medical center (UM Capital Region Medical Center) will provide improved access to primary and ambulatory care services, and serve as a tertiary care center for critically ill patients. In addition, our new space will allow us to expand our offerings as a community partner to help improve the health status of Prince George’s County residents.
Reporting to the Department Manager, the Lactation Consultant functions as a member of the multi-disciplinary team as a coach, consultant, educator, and mentor to patients, nurses, other healthcare professionals, and the community. Conducts bedside lactation rounds daily and consults with mothers having breastfeeding problems.
Qualifications
Current Certification by IBCLC (International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners) required
Certification in S.T.A.B.L.E) required
1-2 years of experience
