Job Posting Information

Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (40th Street Shop)
Hours may be adjusted based on weather and/or emergency conditions (weekends and holidays included).
THIS POSITION IS SUBJECT TO MANDATORY DRUG TESTING POLICIES AS A CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT.


Nature of Work/Examples of Work Performed

This is routine labor work involving construction projects or maintenance of a variety of County facilities.
Operates various types of maintenance and automotive equipment properly and safely.
Performs general road maintenance duties.

Minimum Qualifications/Necessary Special Requirements

Qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent and at least one year experience with heavy construction work, or equivalent.
Necessary Special Requirement: Possession of a valid driver's license. Possess and maintain a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and any applicable endorsements.
IF YOU CURRENTLY HAVE A CDL, PRIOR TO BEING HIRED FOR THIS POSITION YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO REGISTER WITH THE FEDERAL MOTOR CARRIER SAFETY ADMINISTRATION DRUG AND ALCOHOL CLEARINGHOUSE AT: https://clearinghouse.fmcsa.dot.gov/register


Employees must work a least 30 hours per week to be eligible for insurance benefits.
Vacation leave, sick leave, and holidays are prorated for part time employees based upon the hours worked per week.
Temporary, seasonal, and on-call employees are not eligible for benefits.
