Job Description
A DAY IN THE LIFE
  • Assist the apprentices and journeyman with the installation of:
  • Building stands and setting equipment including tightening of anchor bolts.
  • Installation of above ground conduit, grounding, buss work, equipment installation, etc.
  • Steel assembly, including the torquing and marking of the hardware.
  • Ground grid and conduit.
  • Placing raceways inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas, and pulling of insulated wires and cables through the conduit to complete circuits between boxes.
  • Perform physically demanding tasks, such as digging trenches to lay conduit and moving and lifting heavy objects.
  • Perform all manner of manual labor.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent; or equivalent combinations of training and experience.

  • The ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos and to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
