Lab Assistant - Laboratory - Casual - Variable Shifts

• PURPOSE OF JOB :

Assists with the operation and performs point of care testing at the off site testing locations.

Assists with the receipt and distribution of laboratory specimens

• ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

70% 1. Performs point of care testing and assists with operations at off site laboratory locations.

20% 2. Follows procedures for the proper evaluation and disposition of laboratory specimens as stated in the Specimen Collection Manual and reference laboratory manuals.

5% 3. Interacts/communicates with all patients and coworkers in a collaborative manner.

5% 4. Promotes patient safety by compliance with Organizational/Departmental policies and procedures.

Job Qualifications

V. QUALIFICATIONS :

• Education: High School Diploma

• Experience: Some healthcare experience preferred, but not required
