JOB DESCRIPTION

As an experienced monitoring engineering professional, your relentless dedication to innovation will have a positive ripple effect on both innovation and the people who make it. You’ll put your experience to work across the board, leading an incredibly talented team in areas like change management, incident management, and problem management. You’ll be responsible for management communication and client relationship management. You’ll use your critical thinking skills to establish the team’s functional goals and set priorities and objectives that align with our overall strategy. You’ll oversee areas like incident management, change management, impact identification, management communication, risk and controls, client relationship management, service improvement, discovery/gathering/documenting of business needs, data and requirements. You’ll coach, manage and mentor people, both in-house and in working collaboration with our talented and dedicated problem-solving technologists across the JPMorgan Chase & Co. global network.

Responsibilities:

• Install monitoring tools working with various teams and report metrics with the ultimate goal of preventing problems and improving IT effectiveness.
• End-to-end ownership of managing the tools applications and ensured the on-time updates & upgrade done.
• Analyze reported incidents and problems for different systems, assessing patterns, making recommendations and implementing monitoring solutions.
• Identifies critical business transactions and implement tools to managing alert and response.
• Assist in automating onboarding processes and other monitoring related activities.
• Identifies opportunities for streamlining processes through automation.
• Ensures the successful installation, integration, and deployment of monitoring tools and solutions in various production and non-production environments.
• Prepares and maintains technical documentation to assist with operation, maintenance, and development of monitoring.

Required education and experience:

• 5+ years’ hands on experience with monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Datadog, Big Panda, Zabbix, ELK, Prometheus, ServiceNow.
• Experienced with ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem, etc.)
• 5+ years of experience in Monitoring & Observability tool implementation.
• Experience in design & implementation of Monitoring Applications solution (Dynatrace, Zabbix, Data Dog, ELK, etc)
• Knowledge on Application Performance, Synthetic, Real User Monitoring & Log Analytics using tools
• Experienced with monitoring Kubernetes services.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related area of study
• Good analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
• 3+ Years monitoring AWS services.
• Knowledge of API, script languages (python, shell script, yaml, etc.)
• Experience in administering Monitoring tools (Dynatrace, DataDog, Zabbix, ELK, Prometheus, Big Panda, etc)
