Knowledge Management Professional

What does a Knowledge Management Professional do at Fiserv:

The Knowledge Management Associate will lead the BU Knowledge Management program with a client focus, program management acumen and a data-driven decision-making approach.

Knowledge starts with the client. Articles are created as a by-product of the problem-solving process. This means that articles are written in the customer context, making information inherently relevant and easily searchable.

As the Knowledge Management lead for the BU, you will wear multiple hats. You will be an expert user and go-to-person for the KM tool (Service Point / Right Answers). You have the ability to write, edit and review articles, and can coach and support associate knowledge creation initiatives.

What you will do:

  • Monitor the effectiveness, maintenance and use of the KM program and implement improvements.
  • Identify the individuals in the organization with knowledge in specific area are critical to the performance of the organization and enroll them in the process of managing that knowledge.
  • Assist with BU client training initiatives
  • Providing oversight of all knowledge management tasks associated with collecting, validating, storing and distributing knowledge.
  • Maintain the quality of content with knowledge monitoring. Measure how effective each article is at solving problems and put prioritization toward high-demand, cost-reducing knowledge.
  • Plan, develop, stand up, support, and promote collaborative techniques such as a BU community of practice to facilitate sharing of ideas and work among internal teams.
  • Implement enterprise Knowledge strategy incorporating current business processes and recent technological innovations.
  • Create an awareness of the behaviors and culture needed to promote knowledge management and guide and support both individuals and teams in embracing a change in behavioral style, moving from data/information push to knowledge pull and sharing.

What you need to have:
  • Knowledge of Service Now and Right Answers
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate technical and non-technical information.
  • Five years of industry experience
  • Ability to manage own work on multiple concurrent projects
  • Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Must understand the KCS Knowledge-Centered Support methodology
  • Prior hands-on project management experience.
  • Proficient with MS Office
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management and staff
  • Understanding of digital payments products, like Bill Pay, Zelle, Compass and PartnerCare.
  • An undergraduate degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical and investigative skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with business process analysis and documentation / mapping
  • Prior experience with Knowledge Management methodologies, tools, and concepts
  • Project management experience (development of plans and schedules, issues, risks, etc.)
