Description:

St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic School is looking for a part-time lunchroom food service worker, who will be responsible for food preparation, cafeteria setup, cleaning, dishwashing and serving food to students.

The duties typically include:

• Serving food to students and staff
• Preparing food to be served
• Cleaning kitchen and cafeteria after each lunch period
• Operating and cleaning kitchen equipment such as oven, stove, warmer and dishwasher
• Maintaining accurate records of lunches served via the student information system
• Following food safety and sanitation procedures
• Maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen and dining area

Requirements:

• Must be able to lift 25 pounds and handle institutional equipment such as pots, pans, packages, and cases containing food and supplies
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time in a warm kitchen environment
• Must be able to wash dishes and clean the kitchen thoroughly on a daily basis
• Must be organized, efficient and task-oriented
• The job requires stooping, bending, walking, and standing most of the workday

• All employees are required to consent to a background check, commit to our Code of Conduct policy, and complete online and in-person trainings prior to hire.
• Familiarity with the Catholic understanding of ministry is an asset.
