Job Overview:


At Chick-fil-A, our Kitchen team helps with the day-to-day kitchen operations including speed of service, throughput, food safety, and "Remarkable" guest experience. This role is responsible for ensuring we are consistently providing fresh and crave-able food, surprisingly quick service, and a clean environment to our guests from open to close. This role is 100% hands on and all working hours are spent on the floor.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Holding peers accountable to food safety practices, and reports any concerns to leadership.
  • Superior knowledge of our core values, operations, and products.
  • Know all relevant standard operating procedures and pass required assessments or activities with 80% or higher.
  • Execute daily opening and closing procedures/checklists in accordance with company policies/procedures and quality requirements and hold each other accountable to it.
  • Rigorously adherence to food safety and restaurant security practices
  • Maintaining an exceptionally clean, safe, and sanitary work environment.
  • Consistently follow all food safety and physical safety/security procedures.
  • Knowing and following all restaurant policies, procedures, and requirements.
  • Monitor and observe daily operations including activities of relevant area(s).

Flexible Hours

You probably have commitments to your family, friends, school or sports teams. We will try to arrange your work schedule around them. Must be able to open or close at least 3 nights a week and work on weekends.

Closed Sundays

All Chick-fil-A restaurants are closed on Sundays so you can have a day off to spend with family and friends or enjoy a day to yourself!!

  • Starting Hourly Range: $13.25 - $15.50

Job Requirements:


The ideal candidate must:

  • Be able to climb a 6 ft. ladder and use box cutters.
  • Have a minimum of 3 months relevant back of house/kitchen experience.
  • Be willing and able to follow and honor leadership/supervisors.
  • Be willing and able to address and resolve conflicts quickly.
  • Be able and willing to work multi-task and work multiple positions of the restaurant when needed.
  • Be able and willing to stand, walk, and work on their feet continuously for extended periods of time.
  • Be able to push and pull carts weighing up to 100 pounds.
  • Be willing to work and serve guests from all walks of life and have a Servant's heart.
  • Be able to use of hands repetitively for grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulation.
  • Be available to work most Fridays, Saturdays, early morning and late night shifts.
  • Be neat, professional, and willing to follow appearance requirements.
  • Be able and willing to work with a sense of urgency and to serve guests according to procedural requirements.
  • Be observant and have high situational awareness.
  • Be willing to learn and be coach-able.
  • Be able to make quick decisions and work under pressure in a high volume/traffic restaurant.
  • Be punctual, responsible, dependable, courteous, and mature.
  • Be able to bend and lift loads up to 50 lbs. Also must be able to stoop to grasp objects and climb ladders. Bend and twist neck and waist, reach above and below shoulders and squat.
  • Environmental exposure to extreme temperatures (coolers, ovens, freezer, outdoors, etc).
  • Proper use of which may include but not limited to, knives, personal protective equipment, hand trucks, carts, food cutter and fryers (must be 18 years of age or older), power equipment, vehicles, and all other equipment used within or for the restaurant.
  • Be available to work a minimum of 24 hours per week.
