Overview:

Kitchen Supervisor is a full-time, year-round position at Boyne Mountain Resort. The primary focus of a Kitchen Supervisor is to guide and assist a team of 6-10 in preparation of food in a timely manner, supervise all line cooks, prep cooks, and pantry cooks as they complete tasks including recipe execution, portioning and preparing foods to order. This team member will be expected to insure safe food handling, work conditions, and safe processes with kitchen equipment.

Responsibilities:
The Kitchen Supervisor's typical job functions include:
  • Assisting in the control of food and labor costs by monitoring portions, business levels, ticket timing, safe food handling, and quality consistent with Boyne Mountain standards
  • Adhering to all safety standards and completing all related trainings
  • Coaching team members when necessary to achieve department goals
  • Preparing and supervising the preparation of menu items according to food handling guidelines, recipes, and presentation procedures
  • Stocking and maintaining sufficient levels of products and assure proper labeling, dating and rotation procedures are adhered to
Qualifications:
This position may for you if:
  • You are interested in growing your culinary skills
  • You are ServSafe certified or willing to attain one upon hire
  • You have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • You are available to work nights, weekends and holidays
  • You are able to lift up to 25 lbs. and stand for long periods of time
  • You are at least 18 years old
