Suwanee Animal Hospital is located in Suwanee, GA, and has been serving the community for over 30 years.


We are a full-service animal hospital providing veterinary care to dogs, cats, exotics, and pocket pets and offer services such as routine medical, surgical, and dental care. We also provide services in animal reproduction, laser therapy, rehabilitation, cardiology, oncology, and orthopedics.


Our team has access to Ultrasound, EKG, Digital Radiography, and Endoscopy. We have 8 doctors that are eager to grow with a new associate.

A Day In The Life Of a Kennel Assistant


The Kennel Assistant is responsible for providing a clean, efficient and healthy environment for the animals being treated or boarded at the hospital.
  • Notify the Doctor or a Veterinary Assistant of unusual medical or behavioral problems.
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Opportunity to make an impact in your community while tackling a challenging, variety of tasks and the ability to help animals among a great team of people!
  • Must have computer skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Monitor and record important information about the animals’ conditions, behavior and habits (elimination, eating, etc.).
  • Clean treatment, exam, surgery and lab areas daily.
  • Must be able to lift 50+ lbs.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the hospital, including kennel area, runs, treatment area, and outside grounds.
  • Maintain laundry throughout the day and keep laundry area neat.
  • A large network of over 5,000 veterinary professionals who all share common interest in promoting a collaborative working environment and individual career growth
  • Monitor and maintain the kennel inventory to include food, cleaning supplies, laundry supplies, etc.
  • Teladoc
  • Previous experience as a kennel technician.
  • Feed hospitalized animals and boarders.

  • SVP offers educational assistance for qualified teammates to enroll in AVMA-CVTEA accredited veterinary technician programs
  • Must have the physical and mental capacity to perform in a fast paced and challenging environment.
  • Must possess strong communication skills, good judgment and be able to manage stressful situations.
  • Walk animals three times a day.
  • Perform other duties as assigned that assist the Doctor, Receptionist and Veterinarian Technicians/Assistants in the smooth flow and operation of the clinic, care of clients and service to the clients.
  • Pay range of $9.30-$17.25/hour based on experience
  • Assist the Doctor and Veterinary Technicians/Assistants with restraint and treatment of animals.
