YOUR LIFE AS A KENNEL ASSISTANT

This full-time animal care position typically works a flexible schedule with morning and evening shifts. There is also a rotating holiday and weekend schedule.

n

As a Kennel Assistant, you play an essential role in providing proper pet care. You help ensure that each animal guest stays in clean accommodations, enjoys regular meals according to their individual needs, gets plenty of exercise, and even has opportunities to safely socialize with other guests. Cleanliness is one of the first things that families notice upon touring our facilities. You clean and sanitize all areas both inside and out, regularly removing any pet waste. It's a good thing that you are a practical, get-it-done person who takes scooping poop in stride!

In addition, you enjoy all kinds of slobbery affection. As good with people as you are with their pets, you regularly interact with families during drop-offs and pick-ups. You listen carefully and take detailed notes about any special requirements as well as clearly explain any concerns. You love working with animals for a living and take great pride in ensuring that each pet receives the best possible care!
