False Pass School

Aleutians East Borough School District is seeking a dynamic, dedicated educator for the school in False Pass, located on the northern tip of Unimak Island just off the southern tip of the Alaskan Peninsula. False Pass School has 10 students in a pre-K through 12thgrade program. The Principal/Teacher serves as the sole certified educator supported by 2 instructional aides. The False Pass community is located in one of the most abundant fisheries in Alaska.

Minimum Qualifications:

*Alaska Teaching Credential (Type A) Elementary Endorsement, or ability to acquire such prior to beginning of contract term.

*Two years full-time teaching experience

*Excellent references

Desirable Qualifications:

*Alaska Educational Administration Credential (Type B) or ability to acquire such prior to beginning of contract term.

*Alaskan Experience or experience living or working in a rural community.

Contract Term: 193 Day Contract. Begins on or about August 7, 2023 to May 17, 2024.

Salary Range: Salary Schedule available upon request. Principal/Teachers receive a $6200 additional stipend beyond the regular teaching contract salary schedule.
