Junior Software Engineer Jobs

The Role.

Let’s make moves! We are looking for a Junior Engineer to join the Revolution team and create a meaningful and collaborative lending experience for our customers. As a Junior Engineer at Revolution Mortgage, you’ll play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of our software solutions. You will work independently on projects, contribute to architectural decisions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software.

What you will be doing.

• Seek guidance from senior engineers and actively participate in learning opportunities to enhance your technical skills and knowledge.
• Respond to ZenDesk tickets and provide technical support for the applications developed by the team, primarily built using React.js, TypeScript, Next.js, Nest.js, and Express.
• Maintain documentation and knowledge base articles to support internal and external users with common inquiries or troubleshooting steps.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as product managers and QA engineers, to ensure smooth communication and resolution of support-related issues.
• Monitor application performance, identify patterns in support requests, and propose improvements to prevent recurring issues.
• Assist in maintaining and enhancing the existing applications, making updates or fixes as required.
• Work closely with senior engineers to understand the codebase and provide support for bug fixes, performance improvements, and feature enhancements.
• Collaborate with the development team to troubleshoot and resolve user-reported issues and provide timely and effective solutions.
• Learn and familiarize yourself with the technologies used in the applications, including React.js, TypeScript, Next.js, Nest.js, and Express.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of support processes, workflows, and best practices.

• Prior experience with support ticketing systems, such as ZenDesk, is a plus.

• Eagerness to learn and develop new skills, with a strong interest in software engineering and support.
• Basic understanding of front-end development using React.js and TypeScript.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with an ability to learn and adapt quickly.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Familiarity with server-side development concepts and technologies such as Node.js, Next.js, Nest.js, and Express.
