As a Junior Network Administrator at Equifax, you will develop skills to handle maintenance and administration of networks and related support systems, provide troubleshooting and will resolve basic issues related to systems and networks. You will learn and support a complex and growing network topology that must meet the needs of a challenging set of development, operations and business requirements. You will demonstrate innovative approaches to solving the unique challenges encountered and be able to maintain the security and integrity of the networks.

What you’ll do

• Deliver Level 2 support for Corporate and Data Center technologies and technical resources for projects
• Implement basic network infrastructure solutions and participate on complex solutions to develop skill set
• Monitor performance of network systems and advise management when additional processing or technology enhancements are required.
• Participate in 24x7x365 on-call rotation
• Implement network improvement projects as needed to support business initiatives
• Develop network documentation ( Including Topology and SOPs)
• Troubleshoot issues during system outages to quickly determine root causes of issues
• Maintain up to date knowledge of current networking technologies

What experience you need

• Familiarity with routers, switches, and load balancers
• Demonstrated knowledge in IP network support and networking concepts such as TCP/UDP Protocols, ICMP, VLANS, routing, subnetting, etc.
• Beginner level (0 - 1 year) experience (professional or educational based) in networking and related support systems
• BS or Associate's Degree/Technical Certification or equivalent job experience required
• Must be willing to participate in 24x7x365 on-call rotation and have the ability to work flexible hours as needed including nights and weekends as required to complete projects and configuration changes without impacting business hours
• Familiarity with various network tools (SolarWinds, etc.)

• Any experience supporting GCP & AWS cloud based technologies and environments
• Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and presentation), customer service-oriented, strong problem solving skills, and the ability to understand new technologies quickly are essential
• A strong commitment to network availability and performance, and professionalism at all times
• An interest in working in a DevOps environment along with a desire to develop skills in network automation will be of benefit, as will an understanding of network security.
• Ability to participate in multiple projects concurrently.
• Ability to plan work to meet project deadlines, accommodate demands by users, set priorities, organize information and escalate issues appropriately
• A demonstrable ability to partner with 3rd parties
