Junior Level Software Developer

SUMMARY: WinTec Arrowmaker, Inc. is a defense contractor dedicated to providing outstanding program management, engineering, logistics, and operations support to Department of Defense customers. This position is for a Junior Level Software Developer that will work under the direction of the Program Manager and be responsible for the creation of software designed for military research and development work. Required travel up to 10%. This Position is onsite/hybrid and NOT fully remote.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Monitoring the technical performance of internal systems.
• Assist with support in data science, security, database, and deployment processes for applications built with several distinct languages and architectures.
• Assisting the development manager with all aspects of software design and coding (e.g. Agile/Scrum Development, CI/CD Processes, Version Control (Git), and Containerization).
• Conducting development tests, working on minor bug fixes, and writing reports.
• Learning the codebase and improving your coding skills.
• Be part of a development team responsible for building applications and programs using C#, Java/Kotlin, JavaScript (React), Nodejs, Express, HTML, and CSS.
• Attending and contributing to company development meetings.
• Writing and maintaining code.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Position is onsite/hybrid and NOT fully remote.
• Knowledge of databases and operating systems.
• Basic programming experience.
• Required travel up to 10%.
• Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Science related field.
• Knowledge of basic coding languages including C++, Java/Kotlin, HTML5, and JavaScript.

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Military background or familiarity with military command and control structures.
• Demonstrate time management, problem-solving skills, self-motivation, eagerness to learn, and attention to detail.
• Possess a working knowledge of the organizational interface of military, federal, state, and local agencies.
• Security+ equivalent or higher certification.
• Familiarity with the TAK (ATAK, WinTAK, TAK Server) ecosystem.
• Ability to efficiently react to shifting program requirements and work in a team environment.
• Effectively communicate, both orally and in writing.

SECURITY CLEARANCE: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
