THE LANDSCAPE DESIGNER AT CPL

The Jr. Landscape Architectural Designer works with senior team members to develop master plans for landscape architecture and engineering projects from the regional perspective to the site scale. Reporting to a Senior Landscape Architect or Project Manager, you assist in the creation of beguiling, sustainable environments that elevate and inspire others. As a people person, you understand that the end user ultimately defines the design’s success and consequently strive to get clients’ input throughout every step of the process.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

  • Familiar with following municipal/jurisdictional regulations
  • You’re comfortable using or willing to learn 3d/ visualization Lumion or different system
  • Proficiency AutoCAD, ArcGIS, Revit, the Adobe Creative Suite, and the Microsoft Office Suite, Sketch Up
  • Bachelor's degree in landscape architecture from an accredited institution
  • You’re a team player who enjoys working collaboratively with others
  • Licensure as a registered landscape architect (PLA) preferred or planning to become licensed is another major plus
  • You tackle deadlines with enthusiasm, effectively managing your time to complete projects on time or ahead of schedule
  • Skill in hand graphics is a major plus
  • 2+ years of experience preferred.

CORE DUTIES

  • Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions and tasks of the position.
  • Assist in design development of exterior spaces and physical environments.
  • Aid in preparing final project design such as gradings, planting, drainage and construction drawings and details.
  • Prepare concept plans and renderings for client presentations.
  • Prepare permit sets, tree recompense sheets and other documents per municipal codes.
  • Become familiar with commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a design studio environment.
