Job Description

Job Title: Jr. Front-End Developer/Designer

Our client is a leading organization in the digital media streaming industry.

Duration of Contract: 7/24-9/30

Onsite or Remote: Remote, or in-office is fine (LA)

Time Zones Preferred: Any, but must work core hours

Hours Flexibility (Collaborative vs Autonomous Times): Must work 10-5 PST core hours, open to remote work

Start Time: 9-6 PST from Monday to Thursday, 9-1 PST on Fridays

Equipment: Provided, can be shipped overnight


Interview:

• Step 1: 1 round on Monday 7/10 with the Manager and the Backend Developer.

• Start Date: 7/24


Top 3 Required Skills:

  1. WordPress, HTML, CSS, JS, Next.js
  2. Knowledge and experience with UX/UI
  3. Ability to hit the ground running with front-end development, while the other developer focuses more on backend work


Why is this role open?

This role is open due to an ongoing project aimed at transferring brand documentation to an online hub and building out digital documentation. Our client currently has a single developer but is expanding the team to meet project demands. They require someone with expertise in UX/UI and front-end development as their current developer primarily focuses on backend tasks. While our client currently works with WordPress, they are exploring the possibility of switching platforms.


Experience Level Needed: 1-3 years+


What percentage of the daily job tasks are FED-related?

The role primarily involves front-end development work with some design responsibilities. Approximately 80% of the daily tasks will be focused on front-end development.


Team Makeup:

The team currently consists of the Backend Developer and Team Manager


Specific Tools:

HTML, CSS, Next.js

The hiring manager is particularly interested in reviewing portfolios that showcase front-end development (FED) and UX samples.
