Junior Financial Analyst – Austin, Texas
The Office of the Governor is looking for a Junior Financial Analyst (Financial Analyst I-II) to work in the Financial Services Division (FSD).

What You’ll Earn
The salary is $4,166.67 - $5,000.00 a month ($50,000.04 - $60,000.00 a year).

What You’ll Do
This is a job that performs complex to highly complex financial analysis and regulatory work. Work involves compiling, reviewing, and analyzing financial data; preparing reports and responding to inquiries; and recommending appropriate action to resolve financial and regulatory problems.
- Assists in administering divisional processes and systems developed to oversee state, federal, and standard financial and accounting policies and procedures.
- Assists with improving the quality of information technology solutions to meet the needs of the division.
- Analyzes user requirements, processes, and problems to automate or improve existing financial processes.
How You’ll Qualify
Financial Analyst I
- One (1) year of professional experience in governmental budgeting, accounting, and financial operations; and
- Experience using State of Texas Uniform Statewide Accounting System (USAS) and Centralized Accounting Payroll/Personnel system (CAPPS) Financials.
Financial Analyst II
- Experience using State of Texas Uniform Statewide Accounting System (USAS) and Centralized Accounting Payroll/Personnel system (CAPPS) Financials.
- Two (2) years of professional experience in governmental budgeting, accounting, and financial operations; and
Note: Experience and education may be substituted for one another on a year-for-year basis. Salary and position level will be based on experience and demonstrated skills.

A degree from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in accounting, business administration, finance, economics, or a related field.
