Junior Back End (Associate / Senior Associate), Tax Technology


Alvarez & Marsal’s Tax practice is seeking a talented junior developer (back end or full stack) to join the tax technology team. This hire will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing and supporting world class software. Your software will operate in all facets of A&M Tax; from internal tools that improve efficiencies to client facing enterprise systems that compete at the world level.


How you'll contribute


  • Test your work to a high standard
  • Consult with clients and subject matter experts (SMEs) to understand the problems
  • Contribute to envisioning elegant solutions to some of the most challenging business problems
  • Contribute to designing clean architecture with an emphasis on reusable components
  • Build efficient and explainable code
  • Contribute to all aspects of a project’s lifecycle: documenting requirements, solution development, system configuration, testing, debugging, and support

Qualifications
  • A practical approach to building software
  • 1 to 3 years of experience working with
  • API Development and testing
  • Excellent communication and business writing skills
  • Relational Databases systems like MSSQL or Oracle
  • Microsoft .NET, C#
  • Ability to learn and apply new technologies
  • A natural flair for problem solving and an entrepreneurial approach to work
  • A strong interest in technology and its use in business processes
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Management Information Systems, or Information Technology & Accounting
  • Azure
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
