POSITION TITLE: Junior Front-End Software Engineer

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Jr. Front-End Software Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining user-facing applications while expanding and maintaining the company's design system. They will collaborate with senior engineers, write clean and efficient code, work closely with cross-functional teams, participate in code reviews, and contribute to troubleshooting and issue resolution. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of front-end technologies, experience with version control systems, and the ability to work in an agile development environment.

CREDENTIALS, EXPERIENCE AND ABILITIES:

• Experience writing native “vanilla” JavaScript against the browser APIs (DOM, events, fetch, custom elements)
• Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent
• Familiarity with responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
• Familiarity with any server-side application platform like AspNetCore, Rails, PHP
• 1-4 years related experience and/or training preferred.
• Knowledge of HTML, semantic markup, forms, accessibility
• Proficient in using version control systems.
• Solid understanding of semantic CSS, the cascade and specificity rules.

COMPENSATION:

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $70,000 to $85,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
