Job Description
  • Education and Experience Completion of computer science degree and two years' experience. Preference for bachelors or minimum of 2 years post-secondary education program with comparable work experience and/or education required. Previous experience providing system support in a manufacturing environment preferred. Previous experience using the following systems and applications preferred: MS Windows 10, Active Directory and MS Server 2012 or greater MS Office 365 with advanced experience in Office, Excel and Sharepoint SQL Server / Progress DB EDI Crystal Reports Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) Business Intelligence experience preferred MySQL and PHP
  • Working Conditions Perform most duties in a well-ventilated, well-lighted, and temperature-controlled office environment. Required to perform some duties in production environment where personal protective equipment is required. Ability to lift and transport computer equipment up to 75 lbs. Ability to operate scissors lift. Ability to crouch, kneel, climb to heights of 8-10 feet preferred. Required to provide emergency support and assistance on evenings or weekends as needed. Transportation between facilities will be required on a regular basis. Must have a valid driver's license, provide proof of insurance, and have reliable transportation
  • Position Summary responsible for the support of all information system resources including but not limited to computers, networks, telephones, cell phones, and peripherals. As directed, support the implementation of information systems, security, and telecommunication technologies. Tasks include end user support, license tracking, documentation, PC maintenance and repair, upgrades, and configurations, and assist with EDI and system report updates. The System Support Technician participates in rotating on-call schedule and must be able to provide support outside of normal business hours.
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Must be a self-starter with ability to perform assigned duties in a highly interruption environment. Ability to prioritize duties as workload changes. Ability to perform assigned job duties under pressure and time constraints. Must be able to communicate in English, as well as read, understand, and follow work instructions as provided in the English language Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees. Ability to keep company and user information in confidentiality. Willingness to take on new and challenging projects. Above average organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment with individuals from different departments and backgrounds. Ability to support Microsoft Office Products, PC Hardware, and office equipment. Advanced knowledge of Crystal reports, and Excel highly preferred. Advanced knowledge of MS Access, and Word a Plus
  • Principal Duties and Responsibilities Assist staff with the installation, configuration, upgrade, and ongoing usability of desktop computers, peripheral equipment, software, telecommunication and remote work systems. Ensure desktop computers interconnect seamlessly with diverse systems including associated validation systems, email, applications, file and printer server and applications. Work with vendor support contacts to resolve technical problems with end user hardware and software. Enter, update and follow up in IT support ticket/management system. Responsible for supporting the integrity of the computer working environment, all computer equipment, and applications, cellular and telecommunications systems. Provide basic training/support in accessing the network and use of various software applications including basic shop floor ERP processes Aid in maintaining documentation for information systems management and user processes. Monitor, verify and/or test backups as directed by Manager. Support new computer hardware and software, and continued support of the existing hardware and software throughout the organization. Provide back up support for EDI and user report update or modification requests including use of Excel, Access and Crystal reports. Participate in rotating on-call schedule for remote or on-site support as needed. Assist Senior System Administrator with scheduled upgrades and other projects after hours or on weekends as needed to minimize business disruption and operational downtime.
