Job Description

Job Title: I.T. Support Analyst

Location: Stone Barns Center in Pocantico Hills, New York

Supervisor: Senior I.T. Manager

Employment Classification: Full-time/Salaried, Non-Exempt

Frequency of Pay: Bi-weekly

Salary commensurate with experience: $70,000 - $75,000/year

Benefits: Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, a 401k plan, generous paid time off, paid holidays, and sick time.

Schedule: 5 days (M-F), and will include weekends and some evenings as required

The IT Support Analyst is a technically skilled candidate with good problem-solving abilities. The duties of the IT Support Analyst include being a reference point for all IT related queries at the user level, responding to user needs in a timely manner, and assisting with the day-to-day operations of all systems under the direction of the Senior IT Manager. The IT Support Analyst will display good interpersonal skills as they interact with colleagues from various departments and executive levels. They are required to listen to their technical needs, understand their problems, and implement solutions to them. Sometimes, they may be required to provide remote or on-site support, installation and software upgrade as well as operational documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Document accurate records of support requests and resolutions
  • Perform daily systems maintenance and health checks
  • Knowledgeable of AV systems, as well as event setup, technical assistance, and support before/during/after events
  • Provide technical support for Stone Barns and Blue Hill Farm users (120) and maintain communication with users from open to close of trouble tickets
  • Performing research, evaluations and testing of new software and hardware solutions and make recommendations to IT Manager
  • Fulfilling employee onboarding and offboarding I.T. checklist
  • Diagnose and resolve technical hardware, software, and network issues
  • Install, configure, and maintain inventory of the organization's computer hardware, software, and peripherals
  • Follow and document policies and procedures and make recommendations for process improvement
  • Become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the organizations' technologies and be the first point of contact for questions and needs
  • Support I.T. department in the physical organization and clean up of all I.T. assets and any additional special projects

90-Day Objectives

  • Learn proper configuration, setup, and support of various AV systems as requested by SBC, Blue Hill, or customers
  • Become a Subject Matter Expert in at least one of the organization's technology solutions.
  • Help improve metrics in support response and resolution times
  • Assist with organizing, inventorying and, when necessary, e-cycling of all I.T. assets
  • Familiarize with system monitoring (access points, servers, etc.) and ensuring regular updates

Preferred Skills/Knowledge

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology management, computer science or related field
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, VPN, and wireless technologies
  • Strong organizational skills and experience with asset management is required
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of social media and cloud services
  • Experience with both Windows and MacOS is preferred
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • 2+ years of experience in a helpdesk or technical support role
  • Knowledge of multimedia solutions

Physical Requirements

This position requires long periods of time at a desk on a computer and being able to lift 60 pounds at a time. In addition, this person must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
