Each summer, highly motivated college students are selected to participate in our 10-to-12 week summer internship program. Our internship provides a unique opportunity to make an immediate impact by learning from senior leaders, collaborating with colleagues, and developing skills through individual projects that use your unique strengths. We also provide robust training and development throughout the internship—all crafted to help accelerate your knowledge base while assisting you in acquiring new skills.

Day in the Life of an Information Technology Intern:
Our interns perform real work, bring fresh, new insights and a creative flare, all which have a huge impact on their team and our company. Our leaders love mentoring, coaching and teaching others, and there is no better feeling of watching our interns go on to achieve greatness. As an IT Intern, you may support our Cybersecurity, Safety & Operational Discipline Systems, Infrastructure, Commercial Apps, User Productivity, or Project Management teams. Some of the work you will be doing includes:
  • Learning to review data signals from multiple sources to identify and respond to signs of misuse, compromise, or impact
  • Supporting database development, reports/dashboards, and automating existing processes
  • Supporting decision making documentation, operating procedures and operational improvement efforts

Intern Responsibilities/Expectations:
  • Maintains focus on exceeding internal and external customer requirements and expectations
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Collaborates with various teams to achieve enterprise goals
  • Designs and implements information technology that optimizes organizational efficiency
  • Develops an understanding of how IT supports our core business
  • Assists analysts, developers, or project managers on key IT projects and initiatives
  • Identifies solutions for real-world problems using quantitative data
Required Qualifications:
  • Required: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in MIS, CIS, BIS, Data Analytics, or Computer Science with a graduation date of December 2024 or beyond
  • Must possess valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record
  • This position is not eligible for sponsorship
Work/Travel Requirements:
  • Willing and able to relocate to Tulsa, Oklahoma or Houston, Texas for summer internship
  • Work schedule is generally Monday-Friday 40 hours/week; hybrid schedule may be available
Additional Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • Demonstrate intermediate-advanced level of using Microsoft Office Applications and other computer applications and programming specific languages such as SQL, DAX, C#, Java, JSON and Angular
  • Strong problem solving, analytical and creative thinking skills
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
  • Leadership experience within a work, project and/or campus environment
  • Ability to work independently, within a team and within a matrix environment
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Compensation:
Compensation is a nonnegotiable, hourly rate that is determined by graduation date:
  • A housing stipend will be provided; additional relocation will also be given for those moving more than 50 miles from their home and school address
  • Summer 2026 and beyond= $25.24
  • Summer 2025, Fall 2025, and Spring 2026= $28.85
  • Fall 2024 and Spring 2025= $32.45
