Job Description

Hexcel is looking for an IT Intern for their Kent, WA location. This is a temporary position. You will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals and gain valuable hands-on experience. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals working towards a bachelor's degree in IT or a related field to apply their knowledge and skills while further developing their professional capabilities.
Summary pay range: $20 - 24 hourly rate.
The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:
  • Assist with basic IT tasks, such as software installations, hardware maintenance, and user account management.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders, providing status updates and gathering additional information as needed.
  • Provide initial analysis and troubleshooting to identify the root cause of incidents.
  • Ensure timely and accurate updates to incident tickets, documenting all relevant information and actions taken.
  • Utilize the service desk tool to record and manage all incidents reported by clients and internal employees.
  • Categorize and prioritize incidents based on their severity and impact on business operations.
  • Participate in knowledge sharing activities, contributing to the continuous improvement of processes and documentation.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure incidents are resolved within agreed service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Escalate complex incidents to the appropriate teams or senior technicians for further investigation and resolution.
Qualifications:
  • Prior experience working in an IT help desk or in a similar IT capacity is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Actively pursuing a bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).
  • Familiarity with service desk tool or incident management systems is a plus.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Excel and other Office 365 Products (SharePoint, Word, Outlook, Teams)
  • A proactive and customer-centric approach to handling incidents and requests.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
