Information Technology Help Desk Assistant


Position Reports To:


CIO/Director of Business Operations


Position Summary:


Data and information management: Provide support to a project that is organizing Tunnell corporate data in SharePoint or Teams.

  • Work closely with the data and information project team to tag data content, organize information and write documentation for internal customer facing projects.
  • Create or edit and maintain supporting data and IT. documentation, FAQ’s and help guides as directed by project lead.
  • As directed migrate documents from network shared drives to SharePoint libraries. Perform related link checking, add tags/check metadata, and other quality assurance tasks.
  • Perform annual review projects, as directed by lead, to confirm roles/ access/membership and clean-up distribution lists in Teams/SharePoint.
  • Complete data entry in current document repositories as part of the overall information and data management project.
  • Identify and remove duplicate documents.
  • Update document version numbers.
  • Validate data migration.
  • Perform quality assurance checking related to data tagging/organization.

Information Technology Help Desk: Provide support to the Help Desk Analyst including but not limited to the following:

  • Laptop configuration, distribution and inventory.
  • Draft and test end user documentation.
  • Assist in new customer orientation sessions, developing and delivering IT training, and troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Organize documentation on IT Teams site.
  • Conduct cleanup on IT data lists.
  • Provide support to other special projects as directed.


Location of Duties:


Remote and onsite at our location in Newton, MA.
