Job Title: IT Functional Analyst


Location: REI; City: Sumner; State: Washington. Telecommuting is required. Eligible to telecommute within normal commuting distance of Seattle, WA. Remote considered.


: Identify solutions to business requirements and leverage configuration/functional skills to implement for assigned business clients. Responsible for understanding business requirements, designing development documentation, configuring solutions, conducting thorough unit/integration testing, and meeting customer expectations. Support and implement solutions that will help optimize REI’s processes resulting in efficiencies and cost savings. Collaborate with other IT groups that develop software in support of projects, enhancements, and production support activities. Implement solutions through system configuration for simple to moderately complex requests or projects. Validate that the system configuration is correct and meets business needs. Provide thought leadership and vision to understand design gaps and develop transition plans for request and projects. Produce accurate and detailed development documentation (design documents, specifications, Knowledge Base articles). Contribute to the development and implementation of solutions that provide new business capabilities and/or creates process efficiencies for requests and projects. Ensure accuracy, consistency and effectiveness of processes in the system being supported. Correct System configuration defects for simple to moderately complex problems, using the IT incident and problem management processes. Participate in transition/promotion of new or changed configurations using IT change management processes. Assist in the creation of System usage documentation and training materials for newly created functionality. Assist with quality assurance processes. Lead delivery teams. Telecommuting is required. Eligible to telecommute within normal commuting distance of Seattle, WA. Remote considered.


Bring your passion and expertise


Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a closely related field, or the foreign degree equivalent; and 3 years of experience identifying, configuring, implementing, and maintaining technical solutions to business requirements in a retail environment. This experience must include following:


  • 3 years of experience performing simple to moderately complex Package System configuration
  • 3 years of experience utilizing knowledge of upstream and downstream master data impacts and retail best practice business processes
  • 2 years of experience communicating orally and in writing to stakeholders of various technical levels of sophistication.
  • 2 years of experience utilizing SAP and Cloud technologies
  • 3 years of experience executing all phases of Project Methodology to successfully implement enhancements
  • 3 years of experience identifying and prioritizing business needs
  • 3 years of experience interpreting and managing requirements;
  • 2 years of experience utilizing IT development methodologies including Agile and/or Waterfall


Experience may be gained concurrently.

Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include a wide array of factors, including: your specific skills and experience, geographic location or other relevant factors.


The pay for this role is: $101,358 to $134,000 per year.
