Summary/Objective:


The Infrastructure will be helping to build out, maintain, and troubleshoot infrastructure and will serve as part of a talented team of engineers that collectively demonstrate excellent technical competence, reliability in delivering mission-critical infrastructure.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of network infrastructure including installing, configuring, testing, maintaining, and updating firmware, application-specific software and network management tools.
  • Knowledge of DNS and DHCP.
  • Must have extensive knowledge of Internet, computer, routers, switches, firewall, etc.
  • F5 or load balancer experience
  • Experience troubleshooting, configuring, updating Cisco Enterprise network devices
  • Experience with Cisco Prime, Ekahau, and authentication/authorization in Cisco ISE
  • Experience with management and administration of core Cisco products
  • Experience troubleshooting, configuring, updating enterprise wireless environments, especially Cisco and Meraki.
  • End-device support, including problem and performance troubleshooting
  • Experience configuring and working with firewalls and VPN.
  • Conducts network architecture design, feasibility and cost studies.


Working Conditions:


  • May sit for several hours at a time.
  • Prolonged exposure to computer screens.
  • Primarily working indoors, office environment.
  • Repetitive use of hands to operate computers, printers, and copiers.


Qualifications:


  • 5+ years of experience in maintaining large-scale infrastructure as a managed service partner an enterprise environment
  • Working knowledge of standard Azure technologies
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field


Essential Functions:


  • Engineer and make continuous improvement to stacks, templates, images and other artifacts to standardize consumption of shared cloud services and delivery of infrastructure across the global organization
  • Maintain problem records and find resolution
  • Utilize enterprise tools to manage, monitor and secure large enterprise public and private cloud environments
  • Manage daily IT requests from business operations
  • Excellence in communication as a liaison with vendors and other IT personnel to resolve issues
  • Document key responsibilities and train coworkers and other stakeholders
  • Participate in and drive technical resolution of major incidents
  • Operate many aspects of public and private cloud infrastructure
  • Work alongside the team to help design information and operational support systems
  • Be able to translate requirements into effective technical solutions
  • Act as support escalation
  • Leading through example, always exhibit the core values
  • Write and maintain custom scripts to increase automation
  • Troubleshoot problems and quickly resolve issues
  • Work closely with stakeholders to operationalize environments to managed services as required
  • Develop relationships with other technology and non-technology stakeholders that consume technical services
  • Drive infrastructure as code and configuration management communities of practice across the organization
  • Monitor and test performance of end user compute support tools, foreseeing potential bottlenecks and identifying possible solutions

  • Public cloud experience (AWS, Microsoft Azure)


Supervisory Responsibility:


This role does not have supervisory responsibility upon hire.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:


This is a fulltime exempt position and hours will be determined by the hiring manager.


Travel:


Travel for this role is required. It will be minimal and primarily local during working hours.

  • Experience with InfoBlox DDI a plus.
