IT AUDITOR

TN Sports Wagering Advisory Council

Nashville, TN

Duties and Responsibilities:

The primary purpose of the Technology Auditor position is to provide analysis and audit of technological operations of Sports Gaming and Fantasy Sports licensees and registrants. The Technology Auditor is responsible for reviewing and assessing internal controls for all technological aspects of an applicant/licensee’s interactive and sports gaming operations required by the Sports Gaming and Fantasy Sports Acts and rules.

Additional duties of the Technology Auditor include:

  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Review and assess applicant/licensee’s sports gaming system integrity and security assessment prepared by an independent testing lab.
  • Review and assess licensees’ internal technology audit reports and for any audit findings ensure licensees develop proper mitigation and remediation plans as needed.
  • Review and assess applicant/licensee’s geolocation technology.
  • Review and assess applicant/licensees wagering management, customer account management, voucher management, live sports betting records management, and applicant/licensee’s adherence to all other technological requirements contained in the Sports Wagering and Fantasy Sports Acts and rules.
  • Review and assess applicant/licensee’s technological systems for monitoring and reporting unusual and suspicious wagering activity, as well as potential fraud.
  • Identify and evaluate applicant/licensee’s information systems risk areas to develop risk assessment, controls, and audit plans.
  • Keep up-to-date with new technological challenges that could affect licensees’ systems as well as new developments in system protection and recognized IT security-related standards (COBIT, NIST, ISO, etc.), trends and news.
  • Document licensee audit observations/findings for areas of compliance failures and ensure licensees develop proper mitigation and remediation plans.
  • Provide technical assistance in investigatory matters as needed.
  • Work with the Sports Wagering Council’s Audit Working Group to develop and implement an Information systems and controls audit/review program and reports as required for compliance with the Sports Gaming and Fantasy Sports Acts and rules.
  • Review and assess applicant/licensee’s security measures for sports gaming and fantasy sports platforms, servers, network, and related components.


Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in technology audit-related field. Information technology/systems or security auditing is a plus. Having obtained certification(s) such as: CISA, CISM, CCSP, CISSP, SSCP, CCNA, CCSE, Security +, GSE, CEH, COMPTIA Security+, RSA/CSE is a plus.

This position requires in-office work in downtown Nashville, TN.
