General Description:
To manage and expand the College’s use of various software applications and provide support for multiple software applications and systems that are currently in use throughout the enterprise.

Duties and Tasks:
  • Consistently maintain and update status reports on outstanding support issues, upgrades and new implementations.
  • Participate in the identification, planning, implementation and support of software applications used throughout the enterprise.
  • Monitor information from software vendors to ensure that all software products are running the most current and secure versions (patch and version management).
  • Stay up to date on current technologies and trends as they related to our mission.
  • Monitor reports of issues regarding the usability of existing enterprise software applications.

Special Assignments

May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.



KSA's/Required Qualifications
Required KSA’s:
  • Ability to communicate effectively with non-technical end users.
  • Ability to write directions and provide knowledge-base input clearly for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office. Ability to use document scanners.
  • Ability to manage complex technology implementation projects.
  • Knowledge of basic firewall and network functionality to troubleshoot and configure both software and hardware
  • Knowledge of best practices as they apply to the installation, deployment, management, maintenance and upgrade of commercial software applications.
  • Ability to work with vendors to resolve technical support and implementation issues.
  • Ability to install and support software and hardware on multiple platforms.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to train end users in technology use.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in information technology or related field; or a combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Significant experience managing user accounts, security, and architecture of complex software products.
  • Significant experience using Microsoft and Apple operating systems and applications.

Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience deploying and managing enterprise wide software applications and tools.
  • IT Project management experience desired.
