Job Description

The Opportunity:
Saint Luke’s Health System is currently hiring an Information Systems Disaster Recovery Manager to be responsible for the BCDR (Business Continuity Disaster Recovery) plan. This is a remote opportunity where you can combine your business analyst, project management, and technical background to establish solutions to prepare for potential risks.
This IS Disaster Recovery Manager Role manages all aspects of Information Services policies programs and processes necessary to develop, manage, and maintain an IS disaster recovery program. This opportunity will require you to build technical and non-technical project teams to drive solutions and ensure milestones are met while supporting multiple applications simultaneously. This role will develop business continuity and disaster recovery plans, policy documents, and perform training.
This position works with various risk, emergency preparedness, and compliance committees throughout the system and collaborates with professionals at all levels to identify solutions and opportunities to reduce risks.
  • This is a 100% Remote Opportunity however the person must live in or near the Kansas City Metro area**
The Work
  • Manage the planning emergency contingency activities testing coordination and documentation of all critical IS business functions with an emphasis on enterprise- and corporate-wide information systems.
  • Accountable for ensuring that the company has viable actionable and effective IS business continuity and disaster recovery plans to carry out business operations under emergency conditions.
  • Responsible for managing the resources, capital assets and relationships necessary to assist the critical business units in becoming prepared to continue critical business functions during an information services disaster or similar emergency.
  • Ensure regular business impact analysis studies are conducted with results implemented into disaster recovery plans.
To be successful in this position, you will need to have a strong ability to quickly understand how various applications and systems impact the organization and possess a strong understanding of the various levels of IS Applications. Effective communication skills with technical and non-technical professionals will be needed to meet project deadlines. Strong analytical skills and the ability to present data to technical and non-technical audiences is needed.
  • Bachelor's degree in IS or a similar field or comparable work experience required.
  • Experience as a technical business analyst and/or project manager preferred.
