Iot Hardware Engineer Jobs

You will work with internal and external customers to remove technical barriers and speed development of embedded IoT BT and Wi-Fi solutions, accelerate demand for u-blox wireless modules and your passion for developing new products.

Your Responsibilities

• Contract manufacturer support, including occasional travel overseas
• Hardware schedule/task development
• Collaborate with other team members on R&D efforts for next-generation product concepts
• Schematic entry and PCB layout
• Block level design, from requirements through production design release
• Sustaining engineering support
• Creating bill-of-material and technical documentation
• Design RF, analog, and digital circuits for embedded Bluetooth and Wi-Fi short range radio products
• Evaluate, characterize, and qualify new RF and digital designs
• Finding optimal solutions to hardware design issues discovered during design verification
• Analog/digital hardware system architecture and design
• Ensuring product compliance with applicable electromagnetic and safety standards
• Write embedded C and Python script FW for support of HW design testing and verification
• Production test fixture development support
• Troubleshooting, and design verification/qualification of hardware prototypes

Your Skills & Experience

• RF and analog product design experience is a plus
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• Ability to analyze technical issues and find effective, practical solutions
• Working knowledge of Altium (schematic capture and PCB layout) or similar tools
• Ability to work in an engineering lab and competent with standard lab equipment including oscilloscopes, current probes, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators
• Capable of working with some mentored supervision as part of a team, prioritize between multiple tasks, meet aggressive deadlines, work extended hours (as needed)
• Expertise evaluating and debugging RF hardware using engineering laboratory equipment (spectrum analyzer, VNA, RF anechoic chamber, etc.) is a plus
• A degree in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 3 years related experience
