Job Description

Blacklock Financial is partnered with an elite boutique providing an integrated suite of services across the business and investment lifecycle. The firms expertise includes investment banking, financial restructuring, transaction advisory services, performance improvement and accelerated transformation and interim management.


The role represents a unique opportunity for highly-motivated professionals to assume a wide set of responsibilities and make a significant impact in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Candidates will focus on all aspects of financial, operational and strategy engagements and working across investment banking, performance improvement and restructuring practice lines and should be prepared to work within a small, collaborative team environment to manage discrete work streams.


Responsibilities

  • Working with the team to manage execution of all deliverable workflows including but not limited to (1) Restructuring workflows such as first-day motions, statement of financial affairs, monthly operating reports, disclosure statements, claims reconciliation, incentive retention plan development, liquidity forecasting, DIP sizing, liquidation analysis and three statement models, (2) Performance Improvement workflows such as rapid assessment, cash conservation, key performance indicators package development, organisational review, general ledger review, three statement modelling and value creation plan development and (3) Investment Banking workflows such as buyer and lender list development, marketing material development, diligence management, valuation analysis, business plan review and bid summaries
  • Working directly with senior personnel and our clients to develop comprehensive solutions to complex operational and financial challenges across the business lifecycle including formulating and implementing value creation, business transformation and performance improvement plans, contingency planning and bankruptcy preparation and execution and investment banking
  • Actively participating in various operational, financial and management meetings


Qualifications

  • Ability to successfully work in a small, collaborative team environment
  • Commitment to out-perform in high pressure, time-constrained environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including strong e-mail etiquette
  • Financial acumen to prepare three statement models, 13-week cash flows, dynamic KPI packages and complex ad hoc analysis or the aptitude to become proficient
  • Typically at least one year of investment banking, private equity or other formal financial modelling training at a top-tier firm
  • Effectively communicates analysis through Microsoft Word and PowerPoint including high-quality messaging, structuring and formatting
  • Open to frequent travel and work at client site
  • Bachelor’s degree from a top university
