Job Description
  • Location: 4791 Woodridge Drive Austintown, Ohio 44515
  • One year full-time paid work experience in a DD setting.

    DUTIES (include but not limited to the following):

    • Complete timely investigations of Major Unusual Incidents (MUIs) involving DD eligible consumers in accordance with current MUI rule.
    • Provide training for DD affiliated groups including County Board staff, provider agencies, parents and families, and other local groups.
    • Maintain regular communication with local police departments and county officials who might be involved in the conduct of any investigations.
    • Participate in Incident Review Committee to evaluate trends and patterns.
    • Demonstrate regular and predictable attendance.
    • Receive & follow-up on on-call reports as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS (include but not limited to the following):

    • Hold a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university; or an Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university and experience; or have successfully completed Peace Officer basic training and experience all as permitted in OAC 5123-5-07.
    • Hold or eligible for Investigative Agent Ohio DODD Certification.
    • One year full-time paid work experience in a DD setting.
    • Possess knowledge of available community resources.
    • Some experience working with individuals who have ID.
    • Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity & contributing to an inclusive working environment.
    • Ability to engage others with understanding & empathy.

    SALARY: $36,059 - $72,117 Excellent benefits package.


    This position involves working with children and/or adults who have developmental disabilities.


    In addition to the requirements listed above, the following qualifications shall be considered in evaluating an applicant for possible employment for this position: an applicant’s varied work-experience; one’s training and/or education; and, one’s adaptability to work with children and/or adults with developmental disabilities.
