What We Are Looking For


JARS Cannabis is seeking a Retail Inventory Manager to our growing retail team. Our Retail Inventory Manager will be responsible for involved inventory recording, compliance, and accuracy in all phases of the retail sales of cannabis products in the dispensary. Ideal candidates will have a working knowledge of cannabis industry software systems. The Inventory Manager will be responsible for overseeing all products systematically received into inventory and METRC/LeafLogix, physical organization, tagging and labeling, and maintaining inventory accuracy within the store operations.


Job Duties


  • Identifies theft or diversion of products and reports incidents directly
  • Develop and maintain inventory programs as "audit-ready" at all times
  • Defining/implementing quality control parameters and intake, inspection and proper storage of products & invoices
  • Help determine, initiate, and execute subsequent corrective actions
  • Monitoring and coaching the Inventory Assistant in all department-related tasks and duties
  • Assist in cannabis inventory allocation to ensure that incoming cannabis inventory is utilized in the best possible products
  • Investigate errors and deficiencies in inventory and ensure proper reconciliation, record and solving.
  • Executes and maintains a clean and orderly inventory storage room
  • Responsible for the labeling and tagging, organizing, counting and quality checks
  • Manages all data entry into LeafLogix and METRC
  • Completes other assignments, tasks, and duties as assigned by management
  • Utilizing LeafLogix reporting to monitor expiring products and how to allocate/delegate the data
  • Oversee METRC and LeafLogix platforms are being accurately managed and maintained for accuracy of data
  • Ensure products are received within METRC system and have appropriate labels before making goods available for sale
  • Effectively communicate with management to ensure the business has a consistent supply of inventory available to meet needs
  • Provide excellent customer service, answer questions, and assist other departments when needed
  • Maintain inventory in compliance with state regulations as well as assist in the implementation of the company's policies and operating procedures on inventory controls
  • Collect, audit, and file required paperwork to ensure state compliance
  • Coordinates all invoice reconciliation with Accounts Payable team
  • Collaborate closely with Company departments to include Sales, Retail, Finance, Distribution, & Compliance
  • Maintain an accurate log of inventory for disposal
  • Monitor levels and quality of all products in the department


Requirements


  • Ability to identify top talent and train/develop/retain great people
  • A strong attention to detail is required
  • High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) is required
  • Knowledge and familiarity with cannabis software Leaf Logix
  • Experience in wholesale logistics is preferred, but not required
  • Knowledge of or a willingness to learn state specific cannabis laws and regulatory compliance
  • Minimum 1 year of Inventory Management experience in retail or hospitality field required
  • Must be willing to submit to a background check
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
  • Strong Math, Organizational, and Computer Skills
  • Treats people with respect, keeps commitments, inspires the trust of others, works with integrity and ethically, upholds organizational goals
  • Previous experience in data entry position is required
  • Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel & Outlook
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills


Work Atmosphere/Physical Demands


  • Will require working varied hours/day, including nights weekends, holidays, and/or events on occasion
  • Ability to operate a computer, POS system and other office equipment
  • Requires prolonged standing, frequent lifting and some bending, stooping, and stretching
  • Work will generaly be performed in a fast-paced retail cannabis dispensary
  • Involves frequent contact with patients and staff
  • Moving up to 40 pounds on occasion
