Job Description

Position responsibilities: Inventory Duties (10 hours per week)

The inventory coordinator ensures a consistent flow of donations, inventory, and supplies at Hygiene4All, including clothing, bedding, hygiene supplies, and first aid supplies.

● Ensures hub inventory requests and release spreadsheets are accurate & consistent

● Provides monthly reports on items released to the Hub

● Maintains and grows relationships with corporate sponsors for in kind donations

● Maintains & grows mutual aid partnerships and opportunities

● Consistently communicates warmly and check in with volunteers, donor partners, & other coordinators

● Manage volunteers to ensure they are comfortable & knowledgeable:

○ using the inventory request & release spreadsheets

○ organizing back stock and on site inventory ○ keeping the backstock area tidy

○ transporting and stocking requested inventory at the hub


Hub Operation Duties (Two 3.5 hour on-site shifts weekly; One 2 hour coordinator meeting weekly; One 1 hour check in with the Director weekly; One 2 hour all team meeting monthly)

● Manages an onsite team at the Hygiene Hub, ensuring timely setup/breakdown of hubsite

● Mentors unsheltered staff and volunteers on hub protocols & practices

● Supports hub patrons in accessing hub services and resources

● Supports staff and volunteers in maintaining strong team communication and in facilitating a harmonious and welcoming environment for everyone on site, especially for those from LGBTQ+ and BIPOC communities

● Communicates with the team and Person In Charge (PIC), as well as documenting incidents and patron/staff needs as they come up ● Completes coordinator shift diary at the end of each shift

● Attends weekly 2 hour coordinator meetings, and a once a month 2 hour all team meeting


Qualities & Skills:

Strong cross-cultural, interpersonal, written & verbal communication, & organization and management skills. Cross-Cultural Skills

● Experience working or living in bi/multilingual or bi/multicultural contexts. Spanish a plus.

● Share H4A’s commitment to fostering antiracist practices across the organization

● Familiar & responsive to the needs of culturally specific groups (including LGBTQIA+)

● knowledgeable/ enthusiastic about learning strategies for disrupting and reducing racist, sexist, anti-queer, and ableist harm

● Aware of your own reactions and biases & capable of reflecting & improving in this area

● Can use correct pronouns (she/he/they/ze/etc) Interpersonal Skills

● Experience leading and managing teams comprised of volunteers and staff

● Comfortable working both collaboratively and independently

● Humble, curious, patient, and intuitive, and open to learning from those around them

● Enthusiastic about mentoring and guiding housed volunteers and unsheltered staff from across the spectrum of class, racial, and sexual and gender orientations and backgrounds

● Enjoy getting to know patrons, learning names and stories. Communication, Management, & Technical Skills

● Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills

● Comfortable communicating via both email and text

● Familiar with & comfortable using google forms, docs, & spreadsheets. Familiarity with Canva

● Flexibility and creativity in responding to a dynamic workplace where practices are developed and adjusted in response to feedback from stakeholders

● Can pick up 25 lbs Transferable Work or Volunteer Backgrounds

● Hospitality - Plus: experience with PARS, stocking, ordering, & or team management

● Teaching young people & designing lesson plans

● Social work or psychology classes

● Experience with Mutual Aid groups/work

● Event Planning
