LOCATION The position is based at DrinkPAK's warehouse In Moorpark, California.

TEAM The Inventory Control Manager will report to the Vice President of Inventory

POSITION The Inventory Control Manager will be responsible for developing and delivering scalable solutions that exceed the needs of our customers. Maintain accuracy of Inventoried Items throughout the many sites and production stages until final customer delivery.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintains effective working relationships with team members through open communication, visibility, and involvement to promote a positive working environment that maximizes safety, employee engagement, productivity, and performance
  • Analyzes post-production counts to Identify and track waste In accordance with customer guidelines
  • Enforce Good Manufacturing Practices and other quality-related policies to meet product quality standards.
  • Collaborates with plant leadership and supervisors to champion a world-class safety culture
  • Ensure proper product rotation and adherence to FEFO/FIFO
  • Develops solutions to Improve the utilization of storage space and mitigate capacity constraints
  • Empowers team to seek Innovative ways to streamline assignments
  • Ensures cycle counts completed In a timely manner to minimize changes to the production schedule
  • Creates service-oriented culture to Improve Interactions outside of the department
  • Develops standard processes to Improve the accuracy of on-hand Inventory
  • Ensures prompt response to customers regarding questions or concerns
  • Attends daily production meetings with the production, supply chain, quality, and maintenance department leaders to discuss the prior day’s performance, review upcoming production schedule and establish and adjust work procedures and schedules to meet the production schedule
  • Partners with the Quality Department to prevent and resolve Non-Conforming Finished Goods and Non-Conforming Raw Materials.
  • Drive Root-Cause Analysis to resolve issues and create sustainable improvements.
  • Provides direction to supervisors on team member coaching and development, employment decisions, and resolving issues through conflict resolution. Hires, trains, coaches, and reviews the performance of team members and supervisors. Partners with the Human Resources department for recruitment, corrective actions, and terminations.
  • Maintains quality standards of all products to ensure food safety and quality
  • Creates robust and dynamic processes to continually exceed growth objectives
  • Conducts physical Inventory counts with customers or third parties
  • Effectively communicates with Internal and external stakeholders regarding the current Inventory position
  • Develops Inventory reports per customer needs, prepares and delivers reports as needed
  • Collaborates with the warehouse and supply chain teams to ensure correct inventories based on production schedules. Escalates supplier quality issues to prevent customer shortages.

Requirements:


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Clear experience initiating change and ability to utilize change management principles
  • Ability to multi-functionally work between departments
  • 6-8 years of experience in manufacturing or warehousing
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Food Science, Chemistry, Business Administration, or related discipline required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts when needed, holidays, and weekends required
  • Technical background/education preferred
  • Demonstrable leadership skills and ability to lead by example

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, climb, or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl for 10-12 hours.
  • The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms above the head and below the waist.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.
  • Be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs
  • Should be able to work in environments with variable noise levels, lighting conditions, and temperature variation and be able to access all areas of the building without limitations.
