Job Description

Since 1995, the CDC Foundation has raised over $1.9 billion and launched more than 1,300 programs impacting a variety of health threats from chronic disease conditions including cardiovascular disease and cancer, to infectious diseases like rotavirus and HIV, to emergency responses, including COVID-19 and Ebola. The candidate will assist the CDC Foundation with the primary activities for the internship:

Responsibilities:
  • Shadowing members of the Federal FP&A team as they perform their duties.
- Assisting with streamlining the invoices to the jurisdictions process and -documenting
  • Learning how to work as a part of the Federal FP&A Team and the Business Analyst
  • Working with accounting and CRM software.
  • Documenting Federal FP&A Team processes and procedures.

Qualifications and Necessary Skills:
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, time management and organizational skills.
  • Satisfactory completion of introductory accounting or finance courses and a basic understanding of accounting and financial principles.
  • Aptitude for math, proficiency with computers
  • Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet and professional manner.
  • Ability to work effectively with all staff and management, attention to detail, deadline driven and ability to work independently are essential characteristics of this position.
  • Must be a recent graduate or actively working towards a Bachelor’s or Masters in Finance or Accounting.
