Job Description
Summary


Buff City Soap is looking for talented individuals to join our Finance team to own financial planning and analysis. The Director of FP&A will report directly to the VP, of FP&A and actively partner with Accounting, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Operations to provide forecasts and analysis that will allow Buff City Soap to manage and optimize its 4 business units. This role is highly visible within Buff City Soap with massive room for growth


Key Responsibilities


  • Lead the annual budgeting & periodic forecasting processes across all 4 business units and corporate departments
  • Manage and motivate one direct report (Financial Analyst)
  • Maintain the Company’s long-range financial plan and develop models to analyze strategic business opportunities
  • Build Board materials, including periodic financial reviews and quarterly strategic review
  • Plan & execute special projects and other duties as assigned
  • Oversee periodic variance analysis and reviews with stakeholders
  • Prepare and analyze key performance metrics across all business units


Education & Experience


  • At least 5 years of relevant business experience (e.g., consulting, investment banking, or function-specific roles in financial planning and analysis, financial modeling, and accounting)
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance / Accounting / Economics required; MBA or master’s degree preferred


Skills & Abilities


  • Ability to summarize detailed analyses/data into executive-level presentation
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills & executive presence
  • Experience with Domo (BI Platform) is a plus
  • Superior analytical and modeling skills; advanced Excel skills required
  • Working knowledge of GAAP accounting and financial principles


Physical Requirements & Travel


  • Travel: Rarely (Less than 10%)
  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing
