About the job

Our One Danone Business Services (One DBS) team works with other teams across the Company to ensure Danone continues to grow. We are currently looking to hire an Internal Control Manager based remotely.


As an Internal Control Manager, you will be responsible to animate an effective internal control environment within Danone North America (NORAM). Your focus will be Compliance, Legal and Human Resources business processes, with the openness of scope change based on business needs.


In this role, you will be providing reasonable assurance that our Company is operating effectively and efficiently, has a reliable financial reporting system and complies with applicable local laws and regulations.
As part of One DBS you will be reporting directly to the Internal Control Director and managing multiple internal stakeholders such as Business Process Owners and Business Control Owners. Additionally, you will be working closely with the Global Danone Internal Control and Internal Audit Communities.


About the Role:


In this fast paced, dynamic role, your key responsibilities will include but not limited to:
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities for business processes.
  • Manage staff through control walkthroughs, testing, review and align results with the business.
  • Validate and utilize Data Analytics reports to facilitate testing by exception.
  • Assess process efficiency and control improvements to secure the business financials.
  • Ensure actions plans are reviewed and implemented to mitigate risk with clear ownership.
  • Promote adherence to One DBS and CBU’s policies and procedures.
  • Ensure high quality documentation of controls testing as per the Danone Internal Control guidelines.
  • Share with leadership updates on risk, processes, and results on a regular basis.
  • Testing planning to ensure efficient resource allocation and timely alignment with business stakeholders.
  • Provide risk remediation guidance and recommendation for resolution when high risks are identified.

About you

About your Experience:


To be successful in this high-profile role, you should ideally have or be skilled in:
  • Success working in a dynamic environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously in order to meet changing organizational and departmental needs.
  • Clear Understanding of Financial and Operational Risk and mitigation with a focus on Compliance, Legal and Human Resources Controls.
  • High level of Competency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Power Point, Power BI and Data Analytics usage.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related, advanced degree preferred.
  • Comfortable to influence and to collaborate at the highest levels of corporate management.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience preferably in a Multi-national company, in Internal Controlling, External Auditing, or Finance; with exposure to audit practices being highly preferred.
  • Strong management and mentoring skills coupled with can-do attitude.

The base compensation range for this position is $110k-$130k commensurate with experience.
