Responsibilities & Duties:
The Project Lead will own key phases of the Interior Design Project lifecycle and contribute to the success of Simour Design by supporting our design team. The Project Lead will have a passion for design, project management, and customer service and will oversee the tactical duties related to a project such as keeping the team organized, motivated, on track and within vision and compliance.

  • Monitor & Evaluate the performance and success of your team of Architect & Interior Designer.
  • Conduct necessary site visits and inspections

  • Building & Medical Code & Compliance
  • Execute the customer service journey.
  • Team Management: Architect & Interior Designer
  • Provide leadership, direction and technical guidance to your team of Architect & Interior Designer.
  • Fill out timesheets at a daily basis
  • Coordinate with the Department Manager for recommendations to improve procedures or service.
  • Construction Drawings
  • Assist in Internal Projects (as assigned by management team)
  • Participate in weekly meetings and scheduled calls (Dream Team Meeting & Internal)
  • Purchasing
  • Ensure successful independent execution of a project based on:
  • Facilitate entire design process of an assigned project alongside your team
  • Conduct quarterly performance reviews & evaluation for your team of Architect & Interior Designer.
  • Monitor, Evaluate and Strategize the success of your team's capabilities and workload.
  • Coordinate with HR for recruitment and employee/ contractor relations.

  • Ensure successful collaboration with all project partners, consultants, contractors, etc.
  • Lead and motivate the design department in relation to Simour Culture.
  • Ensure your projects and clients maintain a constant high level Customer Experience throughout the entire process.
  • Conceptualization
Requirements
  • At least 7 years experience in managing commercial interior design and construction projects (experience in medical interior design or construction is a major plus!)
  • At least 3 years experience in executing customer service for high level clientele
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and problem solving skills
  • Self-starters who are results-oriented, resourceful, analytical, innovative, intellectually curious, and tech savvy
  • Excellent planning and time management skills with proven success leading concurrent projects.
  • At least 2 years experience leading / managing 2 people
  • Educational background in Interior Design or Architecture
  • NCIDQ certified, and/or LEED accreditation is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of commercial grade furniture, finishes, materials, color selections, and specifications required
  • Proficient in reading Interior Architectural Construction Drawings required
  • Proficient in Revit, SketchUp, 3D, and other modeling software programs preferred
