Job Description

Job Summary:

The Insurance Verification Coordinator provides insurance benefit verification for all infusion patients prior to the start of service.

Essential Functions:

  • Assumes responsibility of data entry functions of patient demographics, billing and payment information along with physician and authorization information
  • Maintains proper insurance authorizations for all Managed Care Medicaid and Medicare patients

Job Requirements:

  • Candidates who do not possess a High School Diploma or GED equivalent will be provided the opportunity to enroll in a GED/HSEA program at time of hire as a condition of employment. A hired candidate will be provided one (1) year from date of hire to successfully complete a GED program and obtain their HSEA.
  • 2 years of experience in insurance verification required
  • Successful completion of all orientations
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required within one (1) year of hire.
